Sending Scores to Ivies

I plan on applying to Yale which doesn't honor score choice. I am worried about the subject test i took today, if i didn't do well and decide to take 2 more and i do well on those; can i just submit the 2 did i well on and yale won't be able to see my epic fail? I am a soph.

No…you have to show them everything. However, ivies also don’t care about the tests u messed up on. They just look at your top 2 scores.

what’s a good score for ivies?

750+ is normally the rule of thumb

Depends on the test. Anything other than an 800 on Math II will hurt you if you are Asian

It does depend on the test, in that you should be doing well in the subjects focused around your intended major, and if you consider something your strength you should be doing well in it. Going off engadget’s comment, there is data for scores and percentiles, and yes an 800 for Math II is commonplace for asians (especially in my school).

What?? could you please elaborate??

^ yeah this worries me too: "Depends on the test. Anything other than an 800 on Math II will hurt you if you are Asian "
uhhh i am such a failed asian, math is so hard for me, i’m hoping for like a 750 on the math ii…■■■ :(

engadget is being silly. Don’t worry. A 750+ is a good rule of thumb, just like Rtgrove123 said.

The score expectations do not vary by the applicant’s race.

^Officially that is ;)

^ There is no evidence to suggest a contradiction between the official and the actual.

Only if you are Asian and are applying for math/engineering etc. Less than 800 won’t kill you if you arean Asian applying as an English or History major.
