sending scores to National Merit

I'm class of 2009, and taking the March 1 SAT. on Collegeboard, they allow you to send reports up to 4 recepients. should i include NM as a recipient? or should i send it later to NM when they ask for it? i have a 232 PSAT so i'm pretty sure they'll ask for it.
does it cost to send a report to NM later since they're a partner of collegeboard? Thanx in advance

It does cost to send it later. Go ahead and send it now and you'll save that $$.

can i do that tho'? cuz i haven't even been notified yet. will they make me send it to them again?

If you think you will make the cutoff then go ahead and send it now. The worst thing that happens is you "waste" one of your prepaid notifications on the NM Service. If you don't make the NM Cutoff then they will disregard the SAT score for you.

so if i send it on March, will i have to resend it in September to "confirm" it?

No, just send it. They'll keep it on file.

For something so important, I would wait until it is requested. They don't send you any type of confirmation they have received and logged it in. Since they are still working on THIS year's NM finalists, I would be afraid that it would get misplaced, misfiled, etc. For something that could ultimately result in HUGE scholarship money, I would spend the $6 later and do it in the order they request. But then again, I am a worry wart!!! Even though my S had all the stats, I worried until he was notified on Friday. I was so worried that the school had messed up somehow and something fell through the cracks! It would not have been the first time his school forgot to send a transcript!
