Due to the incompetency of my school counselor and the incompetency of me for failing to look up how to send ACT and SAT scores, I sent them in today for early action and my regular admission schools failing to realize that it takes one to two weeks for the scores to send.
My early action applications are due November 1st.
Is there a consequence of a score being received later than the application itself? I can’t seem to find any good answers to this question and am currently freaking out.
I am not in the economic position to spend $31 on each score to send after I have already spend around $70 for ACT and SAT scores to send to two of my early action schools.
Thanks.
You should contact admissions and find out if all parts of an app are required by the deadline. Many schools are okay not having having the app complete as long as the application itself is in by the deadline. It depends on the school.
I have the same problem. I’m also freaking out.
The deadline of my early admission is on the 30th of October and my SAT scores will be sent after that date. The college I’m applying to doesn’t accept delayed scores because it wants to give the same amount of opportunity for everyone who wants to enroll. I am so so so pissed off
Most schools are okay if they are a little late. I feel like I’ve heard that Michigan has been strict in the past on this. Not sure who else is. I don’t see how your school counselor is to blame.
I also don’t see how you can blame the counselor. You are the one applying to college and should look up those information. Nevertheless, it should be fine if you submit the order 10 days before the deadline. The 1-2 weeks timeline is for prime time and by mail. It typically takes 3-5 business days for regular submission but a few more days at prime time.
