Sending scores

Okay, so I took a couple of SAT II's on the March 2009 test date. I just took a couple of more today (hoping to get a higher score on one). What do I do? I'm applying early to a school, so do I send in the March scores and wait till the October ones to come out and then send them? Or do I just wait and send all my scores at the same time (when the Oct scores come out)?

Anyone, please?

:) Thank you in advance.

bumpppppp…

So…no one?

My D is kinda in the same predicament. She’s applying EA and took the regular SAT yet again yesterday. She already has in the 2200’s but is aiming for above a 2300. She’s decided that even though she can submit her current SAT score, she’s going to wait until they come out on the 29th and then plug in the final figures on the Common App and send the scores from College Board. She feels as though it might make the difference between her getting into the honors program at this school or not. She has taken 3 SAT IIs and will report 2 to this particular school; however, she’s going to retake one of the in November and then take another that’s only offered in December. Consequently, she’ll be completing a second and quite possibly third version of the Common App to adhere to schools requireing 3 subject tests and those requiring that all scores be reported. I know it makes you anxious, but I would say wait until the scores come out on the 29th and then have them overnighted to the school.

I have the same question!

If the question is whether your scores will arrive in time for early action or early decision if you wait and order them sent as soon as Oct scores come out, the answer is it depends. Almost all EA/ED schools with a Nov 1 app deadline accept through Oct scores even though they arrive after the deadline date and most of those even accept Nov test scores for EA/ED. But there may be some exceptions which require everything sent or in their hands by Nov 1 so you need to check to assure (one example, UIUC for for its early action states everything including test scores need to be postmarked (sent) by Nov 1 and ordering scores to be sent at end of Oct does not assure that will happen).

If you are simply asking whether you should send scores you have now based on the possibility that your Oct scores may be worse and you won’t want to send those, that is up to you except that if you are applying to a college that requires you to send all scores, you will have to send those anyway.

We just used score choice and I am a little confused. My son took the October test and the score won’t be available until the end of the month. So for the 4 free scores, we used score choice for the EA/ED/Rolling schools, but what if the October score is better than any of previous scores such that all 3 sections of any previous sitting become obsolete, would that sitting be automatically suppressed? My guess is no, but it is not perfectly clear to me.
