Ok, so I have no idea how this works. But, my belief is that ALL common application colleges require you to list all your ACT and SAT scores? However, UCs only require you to list your top score? (ACT or SAT) Is any of this correct? What about score sending for USC and University of Michigan?

So, I have a decently high SAT score but a mediocre ACT score. What other major colleges require me to send both?

I know FOR SURE that the UC require you to send ALL YOUR SCORES

COLLEGE BOARD IS STUPID BECAUSE THEY REMIND US WHENEVER A SCHOOL HAS A “SEND ALL SCORES” POLICY YET CB STILL ALLOWS YOU TO SCORE CHOICE EVERYTHING.

Sorry for being hijacking your thread, but: When you send your application from common app, is it okay to send your SAT II scores through to the universities when you get them at a later date via collegeboard?

Ok, sorry for being so ignorant but… this is what I am grasping seeing as how I am getting so many different answers. UCs require you to send all your scores but the colleges only get to see your highest score. Is this correct?

^
When you send all scores, college will see all scores. So a better wording is, UC will use your highest sitting when making admission decision.

ah…
So, I self-report the highest score and send all my scores after I am accepted? taking the SAT multiple times will have no effect on whether I get accepted for UCs?

No, UC campuses need your official score from collegeboard by early Jan. (the normal Dec. score reporting time) . Not after you’re accepted. (Don’t confuse w/ AP score)

I couldn’t find the UC instruction as how to self-report the score. I suggest you send a email to UCAppInfo (something like that) or call. But the bottom line is, they only use the official score that you send.

Lastly, it’s hard to say if it’s true that taking SAT multiple times will have no effect in the selective college since they use holistic review. There’s a few threads debating that.
