Hey I'm in the process of sending my scores to colleges.. I have taken the SAT and ACT both only once. I got a 2000 on the SAT and 31 on the ACT (about the same.. ACT score might translate to a slightly higher SAT equivalent) but for some reason did much worse than I would've like on the SAT math section (680). I'm applying for computer science at a bunch of technical schools (RPI, RIT, WPI..) and was wondering if I should just send both scores or only the ACT (my math score on that was a 35).
This application process is the most annoying thing I've ever done lol.
Thanks.

hmmm.

I would send both as their overall scores are good. I think 680 is still a reasonably good score. Nonetheless, I believe they will only take you’re score from the ACT math.

Ok, thanks. Also, do you think it would still be worth it at this point to take another SAT subject test? I haven’t seen anything from the schools I’m applying to about requiring a certain amount, though some recommend them and it would help for all. The only one I have is bio (750).

actually I don’t really know much about the schools you’re applying to like RIT & RPI but I reckon you take another SAT subject test as well. I think taking two and scoring well on both (>720) should be impressive in the eyes of the adcoms.

And congrats on you’re bio score. It’s a good score.

And I forgot to mention something on my previous posts. I think sending in both scores will benefit you since, the colleges will know that you’re really consistent and are able to do well on both tests!
