Sending semester grades?

What if my semester ends on January 18th, and i really wanted my senior grades to be evaulated because I intend on making 5 A's and two Bs by the semester.

Also One grade might be a C this quarter, and I need the full semester grade to bring that up...??

Any tips? Do they weigh senior grades that much?(I want them too)

No. Senior grades are not considered in the admission review process. What is considered is 9th through 11th final grades, SAT/ACT scores, EC’s awards, essay and other submissions if you have an unusual backround requiring additional explanation. UF does not permit teacher or counselor recommendation letters. The senior year grades only come into play if you are accepted and you submit your final transcript. They will match up your final transcript to the senior courses listed on your application, check for completion of courses and check to see that final grades are acceptable. Any grades below a C are not acceptable and will cause the admissions office to request an explanation of a drop in academic performance. If UF is not satisfied with the explanation they can revoke the acceptance as indicated in the letter of admission. UF with the extreme demand for the 6,300 freshman slots has become very serious about declines in academic performance during the senior year.

I never said anything about below a C.

Also that’s total BS because they ask for your semester grades, and UF only goes through files in January.

As to the most recent post I am well aware that UF reviews the initial transcript in January. However, ( and this is directly from a person at the UF admissions office) they do not calculate or consider senior year grades in the admission decision process nor do they add in first semester grades to calculate UF GPA. Your GPA at the end of your junior year is the benchmark they use. Only after admission does UF review the final transcript to determine if there has been a significant drop in academic performance. Any grade below a C will require an explantion from the student and a review by the admissions staff.

One correction to Danielle’s original post. The UF GPA will also include high school courses taken in middle school IF they are on the high school transcript. For example, many kids take high school Algebra in 8th grade. My daughter also had high school Spanish in 8th grade as well that was on her transcript.

What if I had
2 As and 4 Bs in Freshman year, but that was with two AP classes and rest honors in the Pre-IB program(I transferred out in 10th grade).

10th grade I got all A’s and one B, with two APs, 3 honors, and one reg spanish.

Junior Year i had 3 A’s, 2 B’s, and 2 C’s in both elective classes(Im assuming they dont weigh in electives, in this case it is speech and anthropology…) 7 classes

Senior Year: By semester 4 As 2 Bs

Total of 12 AP Classes. 150+ hours Community Service. 2050-2150 SAT, hopefully. Amazing Essay. Legacy. Great ECs, including a sport for three years. Authored an essay to American association of cancer research, where only Ph.D professors and doctors do such things. Also the top 5 to 10%
