Sending Senior Year grades

I have taken only 1 AP during Junior year but plenty of honor's classes. Now that I am in my senior year, I am taking a very tough schedule (5 AP classes). I am exceling in all of these classes and have received my arguably best grades ever for my 1st marking period (All A's). Should I send these scores to colleges that I have already applied to? I'm assuming yes.

How will the colleges view these grades? Also, will my new grades change my GPA?

You mean colleges that you applied to with rolling admissions, or early action? Or ED?

For ED/EA or rolling, definitely send the 1st marking period grades now. For regular decision, you will have to submit your first semester grades anyways (in January), so no need to send grades now.
