Sending Subject Test Scores to Colleges That Don't Require Them?

Hi guys, I was wondering if my Sat Subject Test Scores (700 Lit and 750 US history) would be an advantage to have on college apps or send to schools that don't require subject tests? Will it help me at all? Or will it look like I'm focusing too much on scores? Thanks

Won’t hurt, possibly could help.

No college will hold anything against you for sending them. Whether they will help depends on whether college considers subject tests at all. Majority do not and for those colleges, they will have no impact (in the usual case, the scores are not even provided to those who actually make admission decisions). However, there are a number of colleges that will consider subject tests even though they neither require nor recommend them, see [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group).

Thanks. Do you think both scores are good enough to help for a school like Northwestern?

Northwestern recommends two subject tests and any scores in 700s good.
