Hi, I will be sending an ACT score report, and some of my SAT subject tests. I have taken two subject tests, however I am scheduled to take another one this weekend on October 7th. I need to send in an SAT score report for my EA schools because they take a while to send, but how will I get my third one on my score report? Will I send a score report now, and then another score report after I take my third subject test?
I dont wanna do this cuz then Id be paying double for sending scores. How does this work?
Also, does it really take 2 weeks from when I send scores to when the college gets it?
Thanks
According to the schedule, college will receive your 10/7 test score by 11/10. Typically, it would not take that long. The problem is you don’t want to take the risk. You should check with the EA schools that if you do accept October SAT score. If they do, it would be fine with the free test score submission directly from the Oct test which would also include all previous scores. You cannot wait till you see the score first before placing the order though. Since you are sending the ACT score before deadline, your application will be complete while pending for the new score (if they school does accept Oct SAT score). In that case, you can save the money for submitting the first 2 subject test scores (unless subject test scores are required and they do not accept Oct score). In a regular day, it takes around 5 working days to submit SAT score. During the prime time around EA deadline, it does take a few days longer.
Thank you. My main question, however, was do I have to send two score reports to each school for the SAT Subject tests? One with my first two subject tests so that they will arrive on time? And then send a score report again after I take my subject test? I do not want to send a score before seeing it.
I also don’t want to pay double for sending score reports though. @billcsho
If you want to see the score first, it is not likely to make it on time for EA even with the grace period. When the school says they accept October score, that means you have the score report preordered. Also, that means you are willing to pay double as you forfeit the free score reports included.
So I have to send two score reports for my EA schools if I like my score? Oh well… I’ll only do it for my reach EA schools.
@billcsho
You don’t have to send two score reports. If you are comfortable with sending your scores without seeing them, then you can send them right now. When you go to send them on the College Board website, there is an option to automatically send the October scores along with any old scores. In fact, you get 4 free score sends if you do this, and you’re still eligible for these until 4 days after you take the test. That’s what I did.
If you don’t want to do that, you can send ALL of your scores after you receive them. Most EA schools accept October SAT scores, and you’ll be receiving your scores before the November 1st deadline. You can send all of your scores then if you want too, but you won’t get the 4 free score reports.
Georgia Tech deadline is the 15th of October so I can’t send scores for that. Ill just send an additional sat score report for my 3 reach schools EA. I don’t want to risk being late. @lesjubilants
I have an October 15 deadline for UNC and they accept scores through November. I’d email the school before you spend another $12, all the fees add up super quickly and you might as well save as much money as possible.
ok, I will consider this @lesjubilants
Please double check the Georgia Tech requirements. The EA application is due October 15, but the supporting documents are not due until December 1. That may help you, but please double check yourself, in case I misunderstood something.
