So I never got much information regarding the college application and I'm in kind of a pickle right now so if you could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

I didn't know that we needed to request official transcripts before hand and it is two days before the deadline for most of the school I'm applying to. I'm planning on calling the universities the day after New Years to ask but I was wondering if I ask to send the transcripts when I get back to school (Jan. 14th) it would be too late and I would be automatically rejected. I'm applying to schools like NYU, Columbia, Boston, etc.

Also, if anyone could tell me if I need to send college class transcripts and how I would do that. I took dual enrollment classes my junior and senior year but I don't know how I would send those transcripts.

And lastly, should I send my AP scored by mail even if I self reported them? Same for the ACT?

Thank you for taking the time to read these questions. I'm very confused, stressed out, and nervous that my college career is jeopardized because of my lack in judgement.

You need to have your HS send the transcripts as soon as you possibly can. Contact the universities you are applying to and let them know they are on their way. As far as the college transcripts, check the college website to see how to send those transcripts. Most of the time you can order them online to be sent to the colleges. For the ACT, go to act.org and order the reports to send to all of the colleges you are applying to. Many of them do electronic reporting so they can get them quickly. You don’t need to send your AP scores yet.

@JCCsMom: Thank you for your reply, it was very reassuring on my part! Do you think it would be a little too late to send it after Jan 14th though? That’s the fastest I can get into contact with my school because we’re on break so I’m still a little unsure about that.

@raichu123: I’m applying to those schools as well! Good luck to you!! But I heard from others that it’s not going to hurt if the transcripts are in a little after the deadline because mail can take time and there’s always mistakes? Hopefully that’s right.
