So...I noticed for a couple of the schools I'm applying to that they will only accept your official GRE score report if they get it after they get your submitted application...another school mentioned not to send in your transcripts until you have submitted your application. As I said, only a couple of the schools mentioned this, so would it be safe for me to assume that the other schools don't mind receiving GRE scores and transcripts before receiving my complete application?
Also, I know there have been a few threads about this already, but if I attended summer school at University A in between high school graduation and freshman year, but I have only taken classes from University B starting from fall semester freshman year to the present, do I still need to send official transcripts from University A?

Do you mind mentioning what schools specify this or at maybe what program you are applying to? I haven’t run across this and I’m concerned maybe I overlooked it. It seems weird… on top of everything to also worry about the time things get there. Blah.

Yes, transcript from every school.

It shouldnt matter when you send your transcripts and/or GRE score reports…they will look at the package after you have completed your application anyway…and I think it should be ok if you send in everything before you complete your app to make sure you have all the materials sent in b/f the deadline. Thats what I did…I sent in all my credentials b/f I submitted my apps…just to be on the safe side!

From Stanford:
“If you had ETS send test scores to Stanford, but you did NOT submit an application, you must request that ETS resend the scores if you submit an application in the future.”

From UC Davis Biophysics:
“Please do not submit transcripts until you have marked your application as complete and submitted it.”

OK then… I guess for the other schools I’ll just send away everything right now then…if worse comes to worse I’ll just have to re-send it.

You have to quote the entire passage:

If you submitted them in advance of your application any time BEFORE September of last year, you have to resend them. Test scores taken in 2009 are still on file.

^ Exactly. Otherwise it makes no sense. I did the Subject GRE in April and sent it to four schools without seeing my score. I’m now applying to 3/4 and have not yet finished the apps. I am sure my scores are on file. With everything being computerized these things should be just a click of a button away on file for the adcoms.

Oh okay, I wasn’t sure if those two statements were related to each other or not. Guess I didn’t waste $20 after all. Thanks!
