I am student at Bergen Community College and I have a 3.9 GPA as of right now. I know the Rutgers essay is optional for transfer students. Is there a point in me writing it even though I already have a really high chance of getting in? I also heard that you need to write the essay to get any scholarships, is this true? Thanks.
There is nothing optional when it comes to applications. If by optional, you mean that you can find a way that the answer does not impact on your application. By not answering, you are sending a message. Wouldn’t you rather control the message you send? Why wouldn’t you take every opportunity to let the school know about you? Just posting this questions speaks volumes.
I did it in hopes of scholarships.
