Sending Two Sets of Transcripts to UCLA?

Hey for those of us who are going to UCLA, do we have to submit transcripts twice?

On the admit website it says "All courses taken through the fall 2008 term June 1, 2009* "

and another column also says " All courses taken through the spring 2009 term July 15, 2009"

They want all transcripts up until Fall semester 2008 sent by June 1st and Spring semester final grades sent by July 15

So yes and no; you technically have to send transcripts twice but they are different .

Does that make sense…

gotcha, just making sure. I didn’t even notice the first transcript deal.

You can probably turn in just one transcript if your school posted your spring grades up before June 1st. I think they’re requesting two separate ones because different community colleges end at various dates; thus, the grades being posted might take a while.

yeah, you would think they would just make us send them all at once. maybe they want to make sure the grades we posted are correct incase anyone lied or made something up.

^^ what jennn said makes sense as well; my grades wont be posted by then so i’ll have to send the others before.

lol sacooperr I was thinking what you said, so I went to check my application. Unless I screwed up on my application update, I should survive this check. Too bad we can’t check that anymore…

suwaifo, you can go here: https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/ppf_tr/ppf_tr_login.htm</a> to see what you put down as your fall/spring/summer classes. It also allow you to make changes, very similar to WIP.

haha I don’t need to change anything and I’m too afraid of clicking continue. I should be fine though, I doubt I made any mistake. Too much second guessing.

Hahaha, afraid of clicking continue? Nothing’s going to happen. I went on mine and just saw all the classes I listed and changed (after the Jan 31st deadline).

LOL I don’t want to jinx anything, the last thing I want to see is that I’ve been rescinded

Yeah, I also noticed this information, I guess we do need to send it twice.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, I’m laughing so hard right now. All this waiting has made our minds go haywire… to the extreme!

hahaha sleep will probably do me some good. At this rate, I won’t feel comfortable until I’m at the orientation…

what you do is fill out the igetc certification (if you are eligible) before june 1st and along with the certification UCLA gets a copy of your transcript up until now.
then in the summer when you have recieved final grades you send them your final transcript before july 15.

suwaifo, hahaha. Truthfully, it hasn’t hit me that I’ll be going to UCLA this fall either. Everyone I’ve told seem to be more excited than I am. My cousin has already planned out our spring break for next year. -_- HAHAHAHA.

HAHAHA good times, good times!

For the academic changes part… I did something really stupid!! I think I only have to make changes to the spring schedule because I dropped a class during that quarter…However, there is a place where u can update your winter grades and I did input my winter grades… But then after I found out that you ONLY need to make changes if you got a D or a F… For winter quarter I got all A’s… arghh… and for my spring courses… I changed all the “PL” planning into “IP” in progress…
I did so many stupid things…!! I hope it’s gonna be ok… =[[

So right now we should be submitting offical transcript requests through our community college as well as IGETC certification to be sent to UCLA before June 1st? Is this correct??? I can’t see IGETC certification in the myUCLA timeline!

I don’t think we need to submit IGETC certification just yet. I remember my counselor told me that IGETC certification will not be out until sometime in the summer.

I just sent my transcript to UCLA yesterday. I hope if they don’t like me, they will rescind me before 6/1 so I can still have the chance to submit my SIR to other schools. XD

From a worried student who has what-if-i’m-rescinded-syndrome.
