Sending update to Harvard: Physics olympiad

question for friend

Hi, I'm prepping for the physics olympiad and I'm pretty confident I can be a semi finalist(from this group nationals are picked which is different from other olympiads where finalists, not semi finalists are picked for nationals). The results will be known by February 26. Should I send an update to Harvard if I do make it? How much of a difference does this make?

Also, for the SAT, I've heard that January was the last time to take it and send it, but what if you take it at a later date and update Harvard? Will they accept it?

Should I also update Harvard with other awards if I win them such as going to nationals with my Science Bowl team?

Thank you very much.

bump. but for chem olympiad. XD and sat dates, i’m pretty sure last is jan.

Absolutely! Never be afraid to update Harvard if something awesome like that happens in your life.

how about for the SAT’s?

The last SAT date that the Ivies accept is January, but they’ll take the scores when they arrive and not penalize you. You can’t do that for the February test date.

Re-quoting myself, NOW would be the time to pull out all of the stops. bananafreak2u, I’m with you on the Chem Olympiad thing. Lemme see if I can beat state to go on to nationals!

Hi, Any idea when the physics Olympiad semifinalist selection is going to be announced?
