Sending Updates

Hi Everyone,

I applied to Yale SCEA and got deferred, and last week I sent in a letter updating admissions on some new information. I was wondering if anyone who had done the same received any kind of confirmation from Yale about receiving the update? Because I haven't heard anything from them and am worried they didn't get it or something...

Thanks for your help!

Hey Bluman =D
I did the same, and frankly- nope no confirmation. Which is funny, cuz most of the other unis I applied to (including Ivies) did.

So maybe we shouldn’t be expecting one.

But I also sent a couple of queries and didn’t get any reply to those, so maybe they’re just a bit too caught up to reply :P

I sent my update via fax to the admissions office and via e-mail to my regional adcom. I got an e-mail back from my adcom right away, but I think it was probably just because I caught her with a free moment at her desk. I’m sure they are incredibly busy and it was just happenstance that she had a second to type out a quick reply.

I actually ended up calling the admissions office yesterday, and the lady on the phone was quite helpful. She was able to check my file for me or something and told me they had received it. I guess they just don’t usually confirm.

Thanks for your replies. Best of luck with colleges. April 1st doesn’t seem too far off anymore…

caveman2016 - where did you find the contact info for your regional admissions officer?
I can only find the different contacts for different divisions of the admissions office…
