Hey, does anyone (parents, prospective students, admitted students) know if the supplemental forms (Counselor report and recommendation, transcript, unofficial scores) can be faxed to usc?
or do they all/some have to be mailed?
thanks!

I thought we put our scores on the application? When I filled out the application it asked me what my scores were. If this isn’t the case can someone please comment on this.

drivengirl, the unofficial scores can be faxed, but recommendations and transcripts should be left sealed for authenticity and mailed in. You can put them in a larger envelope with any other materials you are sending - include a self-addressed. stamped postcard, and USC will stamp it “received” and put it in return mail. That way you will know it was received - the document manager will take up to a couple of weeks to update now that the deadline is near.

UVAorBust, you must report your scores on your application, order official scores to be sent to USC, and FAX in unofficial scores.

Good luck!

what exactly are unofficial score reports?
im kinda confused. im sorry if this is a stupid question

Unofficial reports are a printout of your online scores or a copy of the report you receive in the mail from SAT or ACT. FAXing them in allows USC to begin considering your application even if your official scores (sent directly to USC from the testing agency) have not yet been matched up.

Check the “New Applicant Toolkit” thread for forms (post #8) and the FAX number (last post, I think).

Good luck!

thank you so much!
and are ap scores required?
because i cant find the letter they sent me at the moment…

No, you do not have to send AP scores until you decide where you will attend. It is most convenient to send them to the school you have chosen when you take your May '11 AP tests.

For AP scores, do we have to fax them with the SAT/ACT Student Report form? I can photocopy the document I received over the summer but I don’t know if it is necessary (I entered in my scores in Part II of the application).

Entering your AP scores on your application is the correct procedure. You do not need to submit AP score reports - official or unofficial - at this point. You can wait until you take the May '11 tests and send them to the school you have chosen to attend.

Again, entering the AP scores on your application is exactly what you were supposed to do.
