Sending/withholding AP grades

If you take an AP test in your junior year, are the scores sent back to you in July to be forwarded to colleges at your discretion? On their website, it says that students should write down to which colleges they want their AP grades to be forwarded. However, if you're in grade 11, that's not possible. So how does that work? I'm planning to take USH and Lit tests in May, but as I have self-studied, I'm not sure how well I'll do. I'm just sort of going on a limb here, and if I do well, it's a great bonus. But if I don't, then nobody has to know what my grades were. So my question is how does the AP grade dealie work when you're a junior?

Just don't specify any colleges. When you do decide to release your scores during your senior year, all scores should be sent.

Just to what I do when I am uncertain of how well I will perform...list bogus colleges. I always get a kick out of sending my test scores to some small two year college off in the middle of nowhere. HAHAHHAHHA...but really if you are worried then just don't mark in any colleges and if you perform decently send the scores to the college of your choice.
