Did everyone send their own transcripts through docufide.com or did you have your guidance counselor send them?

My school office sent it out. Do you have your NYU ID? then you can check your application status. or simply call them.

I have been exchanging e-mails with an admissions officer who looks at my application. and this helped me a lot. contact the office tomorrow they will tell you what's missing. They did not send you the written confirmation because, it's only my little theory but highly probable, your file is not complete yet.

your counselor only requests your transcript to be sent out. It's the office's job. I know my office did not handle my job very well. My NYU summer program transcript is missing at many regular decision colleges that i applied to. so i am going to have to complain this...

how do you check the application status online kjayson7?

sorry, you cannot check on-line. I got confused. but you need your either SSN or NYU ID # to check your application status when you call the admissions office. or if you know an admisions office director, email her or him like i do. it's better that way. plus, you get to know the person who looks at your app! :)

GC sends them at my school. I think that is the norm, but I'm not sure.

Yea, my counselor writes down a list of colleges then give this pink note with that list to the office...and then the office print out my transcript and send it to the colleges...that's the norm...

or you can create your own. it all depends on how brave you are. I tried, but i gave up aftering screwing up my printer

whats the email, I want to confirm they have everything?

kjayson7,

how did you get to know your admissions director?

I cannot answer that question. sorry

can u give me a basic email to ask if they recieved everything?

Mattistotle: I believe you MUST call the NYU admissions office in order to check on the status of your application but in case you can check online, you need to email one of the admissions officers from the specific school you are applying too. Also, make sure you use your NYU ID # or your SSN when you contact the admissions officer because that is what they use to identify you, not your name. In case you cannot contact them by email the number for the admissions office is 212-998-4500. That number will be able to redirect you to any school that you applied to. Good luck!

mattistotle, do you ever do things by yourself????
It's really not that hard. Just call the damn office or email them. Calling the office is a better and faster way.
