Alright, if you've already been accepted ED to Cornell, under what circumstances can Cornell deny you admission? A friend of mine, who is a freshman, said you're golden unless you fail a class or get arrested. Is this true? After the midyear report is sent, how much can Cornell look at the 3rd and 4th quarter? It's not that I'm looking to slack off, but I've got 5 midterms for AP courses coming up so a little assurance would be nice.

Ditto, I have the same question. There are other similar threads, but just as a gauge, how low can you really go?

Your friend is basically right. Don't pull straight D's or either, though.

is this the same for rd

i don't think so

for RD you have to look good through midyear. After midyear, though, unless they request 3rd quarter grades (and they're available early enough), the same goes. Don't pull straight Ds and Fs and don't get arrested. Pulling straight Cs could quite possibly land you on academic probation, where you're required to get a 3.0 first semester or something like that, but that's just my guess. For someone with the mental calibur to get accepted to cornell, pulling straight Cs would take effort...effort at doing poorly.

Hmm, if I sent in an interim report, would they accept it too? I'll get an interim semester 2 report in the third week of feb . . and I'm thinking my marks will be pretty good next semester (better than this semester :( )

im applyin rd and im pullin 3As, 2Bs, and 1C, i dont think thats lookin too good for me...

you guys think an 88 on my midyear report is ok if i got in early?

dude, that's fine.......

That's more than fine...that's like my unweighted HS GPA haha
