Wow… One of the most impressive applications I have seen. Probably accepted everywhere.

I concur. It would be a surprise if you were rejected anywhere.

What are you going to major in?

I don’t understand how you can do it all. Care to elaborate on the daily life of modest423? How much sleep do you get?

P.S. You’re going to go on to do great things.

^ I’d like to know as well. How can you handle so many varsity sports along with the ridulous amount and magnitude of your ECs? It’s truly astounding what you’ve managed to do.

varsity tennis and lacrosse? both 4 years?

Dude, you are amazing.

I agree you are an excellent applicant but why did you apply to HPME? Your ECs for the most part gear towards law or politics, unless if I’m reading it wrong. Nevertheless, I think you’re in everywhere.

shouldn’t you be trying to whittle down your list rather than be worried about whether you will get into even more places?

My opinion is that HPS is still a crapshoot. Based on Princeton’s stat’s on SAT score preferences, you will most likely get in but Harvard and Stanford have their own drummers and are unpredictable.

I am not even sure if this resume is real.

^^^^
He shouldn’t be worrying at all, and what you said is true…
you guys shouldn’t be worrying about chancing him :stuck_out_tongue:
Chance me (:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1309572-chance-me-early-upenn-2012-2013-a.html</a>
LOL. (A chance for some people to actually comment on mine rather than just looking at it…)

Hey guys! Wow, haha, I wasn’t expecting all of this feedback.

I applied to Northwestern HPME because my college counselor, who’s really young and enthusiastic guy, told me to go for it and look into it if I got accepted since his brother didn’t really know if he wanted to go into medicine and that by visiting and talking to the professors there it opened his eyes. I just wanted to apply to Northwestern, but he said to just go for HPME since I wasn’t really too invested in Northwestern to begin with.

Basically, the way my school handles sports is from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM for practices. My resume looks really busy but a lot of the work I do I prepare for over the summer. I get around 6-8 hours of sleep a night and I try my best to manage my work before/after sports practices. Our school sets up extra help/study hall time before sports even begin so it’s really helpful in me getting to manage that sort of stuff. I normally don’t really study for standardized testing unless I’m on a school break and not on vacation. Tests have just typically come naturally for me. Also, our tennis team isn’t really good and we just have weekend games, so I’m allowed to miss practices and just go to lax and then compete during the weekend for tennis.

God, I would love to go to Yale… honestly though, you shouldn’t be contemplating as to whether you’ll actually get into the colleges that you listed above, but you should be thinking more about where you actually want to go -____-
you have a pretty stacked resume (with your scores and all…)
and depending on your major, make a good decision…
Stanford is beautiful (I have a lot of friends that go there, and I’ve visited there myself), but Northwestern and Penn are also really nice (Penn is my dream school :P)
I would never go to Wash U, just because of the location…
Northwestern is beautiful too, and it’s isolated, but it’s only an hour away from Chicago, so that’s great as well…
Harvard and MIT are right by each other, and they also have nice settings…
If I were given your options though, I’d pick Northwestern or Penn…
remember, even when you do get into the college, you have to consider how well you’d perform in relativity to all the other students… if you go to a school like Northwestern, I’m sure you’d be within the top %ile of Northwestern, and you’d have a great time…

If you could take a few minutes, could you chance me as well? Thanks a lot

It would be an upset if you were not accepted to those schools given your stats and profile.

It’s good to know you were relying on your tennis to get your foot in the door. If you don’t mind me asking… I would have just applied to Stanford and called it a day, did you apply early to any school?

Iamnotok (for the record) NU is about 25 minutes from Chicago  I was just there, haha.

If I were you, I’d pick Yale or Stanford. Great job, wherever you go (in the top 10, I’m sure) you will be golden.

you are absolutely not a real person

I’m not sure if that’s meant to be a compliment or you actually are questioning my existence.

Anyhow, to the person who said he’d apply to just Stanford, I’m still waiting out on Harvard and Princeton. Those are my top two choices. I didn’t apply early anywhere because, (and this is where I probably seem most human haha…), I didn’t have any time to write essays over the summer so I had to submit everything in December.

Now that is amazing

Overall, I was accepted to…
-Princeton
-Yale
-Harvard
-MIT
-Penn (Wharton)
-JHU BME
-Northwestern HPME
-WUSTL
-UChicago
-Tufts
-Rice

Still waiting for Stanford and Williams

Waitlisted by Columbia…

EITHER WAY, I’M GOING TO PRINCETON!!!
