I would be too. Your school teaches both micro and macro in one semester? Holy crap.
Each semester is 18 weeks so 9 weeks Micro and 9 weeks Macro.
I understand that. That’s still a lot to compress in a short amount of time. The good news is AP Gov and precalc (and the elective, depending upon what it is) should not be that bad. Your biggest challenge will be keeping the material fresh between January and May
Yeah the elective is a college prep course (basically a period to work on college applications), precalc I had the same teacher for Algebra 3 and we got a new AP Government teacher for our school. Is there any other advice you recommend for AP Economics?
Keep up with the material. Get a good prep book. I used Princeton Review, but probably any of the major ones are OK. Good luck.
Though it looks like the high school has students take half as many courses per semester, but at double speed (and presumably increased class time) compared to many other high schools where students take up to eight courses spread over a year.
FWIW many high schools in California teach Economics as a half-year class, with both Macro and Micro covered. My kid’s school didn’t have it as an AP offering though. This mirrors how UC-Berkeley teaches it’s first ECON 1 class - 1 semester, covering both Macro and Micro.
