Hello,
I am a current HS senior. my load is as follows:
AP Econ
AP Stat
AP Spanish
AP Lit
Anatomy
Internship
my Junior load, however, was
AP Calc AB
APUSH
AP Physics B
AP Chem
Honors Lit
Honors Spanish
I feel that my senior schedule represents a big drop in rigor, but the only way I can make it more difficult at this point is to drop AP Econ for AP Physics C (I hate mechanics) How much would this lack of rigor impact my college admissions prospects (am shooting for Georgia Tech). Would not taking AP physics C have a severe impact on my chances to get in?

If you are going to GT for engineering, hating mechanics is a bad sign. Great school, but as a general rule, engineers of all types tend to like mechanics and not liking it means it will be a very long four years. Even majors like EE wind up having to take things like statics and dynamics, which is just mechanics gone wild for two semesters.

Im looking to do pre med

You have to major in something. I suppose you can major in one of the sciences, though that doesn’t get you out of physics. Pre-meds need to take two semesters of physics, even chem and bio majors need two semesters of calc-based physics at Georgia Tech, so you better wrap your head around the idea of taking mechanics eventually. In fact, I’d suggest taking AP Physics C so it’s more like review when you actually do take it rather than having to learn it the first time.

Looks great my senior load is just necessary classes to graduate (since i transfered) and AP calculus and AP physics

How much of a difference will dropping econ for Physics C make? Would it be much easier to get in with Physics C or is it not that big of a deal?
