Do different people use different GPAs to assess your overall academic performance?

Senior GPA= 3rd,4th year GPA
Core GPA= GPA of courses related to your field (excludes electives)
Cumulative GPA= GPA of all courses including failed ones

Do employers only use cumulative instead of the other ones? What about grad school?

private sector will use… whatever information you put on your resume. They don’t have a transcript, they only have what you give them. Generally you list your overall GPA, but you can also list junior/senior or major GPA in addition if they will help your resume.

government jobs will look at cumulative gpa, or junior/senior year gpa

grad school will use your whole transcript, weighted towards your intended area of study, I imagine
