senior grades and ivies

how much will a low 1st semester senior yr gpa hurt for ivies? assuming past grades are good

like how low.....

idk maybe like many B's and maybe a C

many Bs for an ivy will definately hurt - can you try raising them?

no our semester is complete

hmmm, well. i really cant say. where have you applied and what are your other stats?

cornell, dartmouth, johns hopkins

sat: (700w, 710cr, 740m)
sat2:710m,700bio
act: 32 (32r,33e,32m,32s)
gpa: 3.88uw
ib diploma, hardest courses
top 2.4%
ok/good ECs and essays.

does the 3.88 include your recent semester report?

no it does not, is that too low already?

3.88 is a fine GPA, but im assuming that it will drop with the new grades factored into the picture. Do your colleges see your semester grades? If they do, then im sorry this may not be good news. but if they don't see this, then you should be ok. be sure to try and keep it together next semester, though.
