new member here..i just finished my last year of high school, and im kinda stressed/freaking out about college right now...

i got into UC Riverside, which obviously isnt the greatest school around, but it was a pretty big accomplishment for me, considering my grades/test scores, etc...

now i was just wondering how important my 2nd semester senior grades are...

im almost 100% sure i got a D in American Government, and im worried that UCR will decline me once they see this...

im still hoping that i got a C-, but im pretty sure that it wont happen...

so basically...

my question is, will UCR still accept me with my D? and is there anything i can do ahead of time so they arent completely shocked when they see my grade report?

like i know i can send them an email about myself getting a D...but i just dont know what to write..

cause i know i cant just write "I have been admitted to your school but a got D in American Gov't this semester. Just letting you know."

or could i?

any response would be appreciated (good or bad)...

when i notify admissions, do i just tell them that i got a D in one of my classes, or do i have to go and explain my reasons, etc... and make some big essay about why i did bad, and why they should still accept me, etc...

cause if i have to do the latter...i better get to work on that now..i dont want it to ruin my summer LOL
