When I checked my applicant status it said they had not yet received my “senior grades.” When they say senior grades do they mean midyear report? My school’s first semester doesn’t end until the middle of January so am I supposed to wait until then to send the report?
Thanks

Although it doesn’t make much sense, I think that “Senior Grades” refers to your transcript for freshman through junior years. And colleges know that high school semesters end in January and February in some cases, so they are just expecting Mid-Year Reports to be sent in as early as possible through out those months.

i have heard that some schools do require a senior midyear report though. did you apply to BU?

i have the same problem, because senior grades is the last thing im missing. i feel like it would be the midyear report, but i think it also could be an actual report card. some colleges have required the first marking period grades, so it could be something like that as well.

i emailed BU and this is the reply I got…
The senior grades reminder on the BU applicant link is an automated reminder to send your first semester grades when they become available. These grades are usually not available until after January 1st, so it is perfectly fine that they will arrive to our office after the application deadline. Please visit the Common Application website and click on “Forms” to locate the Midyear Report form. Print a copy and give it to your guidance counselor to submit with your updated transcript.

so it looks like we should be fine
