I know there are threads on this subject all over CC, but they are lacking on the Yale board. Probably because I'm the only slacker they took. Regardless, how low is too low for senior grades. I've gone from 5 A's and 1 B both junior year and first semester this year to what looks like 2 A's and 4 Bs this semester, which could just as easily swing down to 1A as it could to 3 A's. Is this cause for action, or would I just be shampooing the toupee.

You need a serious slide in grades to risk rescission. You have no cause for concern.

I’m worried as well cause my junior grades 1st term is 3Bs 1A, 2nd term is 4As, and 3rd term could be 3As 1B. In soph year I had 6As 2Bs, and then 5As, 2Bs, 1C twice :(

OP, you are fine! Don’t worry!

Bumping for my fellow Yalie slackers that may or may not exist…

Also, does anyone have any evidence or anecdotes to keep me from worrying? Thanks everyone who responded/

If you get a C, they might send you a stern letter.

A friend’s daughter got two Cs and a D her last semester, and received a stern letter asking for an explanation. The explanation, “senioritis” (accompanied by an apology and a promise to work hard at Yale), was accepted.

Just so you know, soylentgreen, virtually all the advice you’ve gotten on this thread has come from parents.

For your reference, UC Berkeley has the following policy. Yale might be more flexible about the senior grade. But don’t take any risk when possible, since there is time to work on the final grade result with teachers and thru your hard work.
