Senior grades; how low can you go

Just want to know my limits. Trying very hard not to slack off. How low can you go with senior grades before you get a phonecall (that’s if you get accepted into penn-ahh). And also does it matter what grades you earned before senior yr in determining whether u get a phonecall or not?

idk you probably have to stay in the B range? just a guess.

I'd say that if you make a C your senior year, you might receive a pep-talk from Mr. Stetson.

For the mid year report is it okay if I report 1 or 2 A-'s? Is that too low?? I know, i'm kinda paranoid

As long as you stay out of Cs, you'll be fine. If you get Cs, you can still probably get away, but Ds and you might be done.

Are you supposed to send a mid-year report if you got accepted ED?

wow, really. even for a program like wharton? C will fly?

what's the general rule for RD mid-year-reports? can you dip a little and not suffer, or must you maintain your GPA?

They expect grades to drop somewhat. You cannot go from straight As to straight Cs or some Cs and some Ds. I'd say a C or 2 is fine. Don't get all Cs. That said, I don't think that your admission will be withdrawn even with all Cs. But do you really want to push it?

For the RD reports:
I have 4 classes at school and 2 at the community college:
I know I made A's in all my classes, but Physics could possibly be a "B+"
Do you think this would kill my chances for RD since I was deferred?

i doubt it. certainly based on the post above you

I think jose took the question to be for accepted people. If you're going RD, you definately want the mid-year report to be as strong as possible.

guys, im in huntsman and i got in ED....i got a C as a FINAL year grade in ap eng and got suspended for a day (ironically for one of the most harmless things i did all year)....nothing happenned....im not telling you to go and do stupid **** like me, but relax and enjoy your senior year!

flavian: no, i don't think so

btw, how do you do that quote box?

He used the term "withdrawn."

What if your grades go up in some classes and drop in others? Like, I know my Hon Calc, AP Eng, and AP Chem grades have all gone up, but my Hon. Gov&Econ has dropped, possibly to a high C. Is this really bad?

idk, maybe he'll show up and fill us in, flavian

REK: well, it's not good. try to get a B-, but i doubt it'll kill ya

id say...if you dropped below the 2.0 mark.....then there may be trouble........im just gonna keep above a 3.0

cdeitz: Do you mean cumulative GPA? I'd think it'd be better to stay above 3.5, if that's the case. 3.0 is dropping down pretty low, I'd think.

What about for ED deferees, I might make a B+ in Physics honors, but all others are A's. Do you think that will hurt my chances?
