Senior Grades - SIR

Hi,

For UC Berkeley, I'm really worried about maintain a 3.0UW this semester. I'm taking 5 APs and it's getting tough.

I've already submitted my SIR to Berkeley however. Can I submit another SIR to another UC (ie. UCSD which only requires a 3.0W) as a backup?

Because if I don't get a 3.0UW that means I'm basically screwed and have to go to a CC?

Please help!

You're only allowed to submit on SIR for the UC system. It should've told you that when you put yours in for Berkles...mine did.

i've talked to admissions people from both ucb and ucla, who have told me you can do two sir's, though 'it does not reflect well on you'

I suspect they mean two, as in one with the UC system and another to a private or other non-UC university.

If I were you, given the widespread belief that completing one UC SIR causes the other UCs to automatically cancel your acceptance, I would double and triple check this very explicitly before taking this step.
