I know everyone posts these but I still wanted to give it ago. I have a B in AP Lit, a B+ in AP Calc AB, an A in AP Spanish 5, and a possibe B- or B or hopefully not a C+ in Advanced Physics. I am applying to UC’s, Pepperdine, and USC. How do you think my senior grades will affect my college decisions or possible recissions of admission? Please help and give your honest opinion because I am freaking out. THANKS SO MUCH!
Last year my junior year weight gpa was a 4.6 and my unweighted was 3.8. So far my grades have been pretty good and increasing every year. But this year was the most AP’s I’ve taken and pretty difficult classes I would say.I have a good amount of EC’s too. I added this just in case it needed to be taken into account for an answer.
honestly, i think as long as you’re not really making C’s, you’ll be fine. all of those B’s are in AP classes. it would be different if you were receiving B’s in regular/non-honors/non-AP courses. that being said, shoot for those A’s anyway. try to breathe! you got this.
Rule of thumb:No D’s or F’s Senior year. You are fine.
Unless they ask for more info, UCs will not look at your senior grades before making a decision. The private schools will consider only if they request them or if there is a part of the application that requires you to send in senior grades. As far as the UCs, as Gumbymom says, no Ds or Fs or they could rescind acceptance.
