I was listening to a webinar AU hosted and they mentioned that senior grades are not considered during admission. Is this actually true because everyone else has told me that when sending transcripts schools will see your first quarter/semester grades of senior year, and so if your GPA is low then you shouldnt apply early in order to increase your grades
I believe they ask for the midterm and final transcripts, but it is not factored into the admissions decision. American does not offer Early Action, only Early Decision 1 & 2 which are binding. January 15 is the Regular decision deadline.
they said at the info session that those applying ED2 and RD must provide their 1st half transcript from their senior year.
Do they look at first quarter grades for ED1?
When I applied, they looked at my senior grades. I had to send a midterm transcript, and I did RD. I also had to send a transcript from the end of senior year.
“those applying ED2 and RD must provide their 1st half transcript from their senior year.”
ED2 deadline is Jan 15, my D’s first semester only ends on 17 Jan and they write exams till the last day so there won’t be a transcript for a week or two after ED2 deadline. So how will that work, given decisions are due Feb 15? Will they use a Q1 transcript or will they wait for the full semester grades?
