Senior Grades.

I apologize in advance because this is going to sound very neurotic. haha

But exactly how important is the midyear report in Early Evaluation?
I know it is considered, but do they weigh your first three years more?

My situation is probably not that bad, but I would like some advice.
I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 and a weighted GPA of 5.7826 out of 6.0
Since my freshman year, I have been taking the most rigorous courseload possible.

Well this semester just ended, and I got 2, maybe 3, 89s as a semester average.
I'm upset that these are my first Bs and are just shy of an A to prevent me from keeping my 4.0

So when Wellesley sees these 2 or 3 89s on my midyear report, will it affect me significantly?

Or is the decision pretty much made with the secondary school report before the midyear report comes in, and is your midyear report just so that they can see that you aren't failing anything?

And yes, I know that essays and personality are more important, but I'd still like to know how this would be viewed.

I got in with a bunch of Bs, so I wouldn't worry about it.

haha thanks.

Oh and to clear this up: I'm not saying that 2 or 3 Bs is bad.

I'm just mostly worried that they'll think I'm "slacking off" or something.

I was accepted with a 3.3...do not freak out, my child.

especially if you have a tough courseload, they won't care, also, in your interview, you could explain it if you have some reason for it. for example, I was worried I was going to get a "b" in this class and when they asked what the hardest class i had was, i told them that one and illustrated the reasons why it was so hard, my guess is they put two and two together and understood why I got that B+. but yeah, it's not too big of a deal if you have a great highschool record. They will call your school and ask for senior grades though, so I suggest you just have your highschool send them.

Yeah we're sending them with the midyear report near the end of January.
haha I wish I could mention it in my interview.
Unfortunately, I had that a couple of months ago.
I don't know...I wish they could just see me in the context of the other kids in my class, then I'd be fine.

ughh. I can't believe three years of work have gone down the drain this semester!

Hopefully, decisions will be about finished by the time my Midyear report will be available.
