So, I was wondering about the significance of senior year grades on the ADMISSIONS process. I attend a private school with a trimester system, the first ending in late November. I am applying to Stanford REA and I heard that my grades so far this year would not be considered as part of the admissions process, but would be looked at afterward.....is this True?? How much weight do the Senior grades hold within the aggregate of the admissions profile?

lol I think I'm gonna screw my senior year. too lazy to study, tardy ...
anyway, if I am late for school so many times, is it critical that the colleges know that ?

so lets say Ive made A's plus one B each year from 9-11, but now I am making 2 B's and potentially a third. Im pretty sure that this "trajectory" is not what the schools want to see, but will this really be the focal point of my rejection? I mean, understandably its not good, but wont the adcoms also factor in that we've only been in school like 2 months by the time we send in our grades, and therefore are not entirely familiar with our NEW teachers and classes?

I guess the question I would like to pose is HOW important are the senior grades relative to the other portions of an application/transcript?

Also, are current grades sent when you send the transcript? I thought the earliest a school can see your senior grades is from the mid-year report.

if a college asks for senior year grades, they're obviously important.

if you incredibly well senior year, it will look great, but if you do badly, your chances at schools with <15 percent acceptance rates will be shot pretty badly.
