Senior looking for Chances

I've been reading these as a guest for quite some time, and I think it is time for me to find out my chances. I will chance back if you post a link.

State: RI

Looking for Chances at:
Villanova - EA
UMiami - EA
BC - EA
Boston University
Northwestern
University of Florida
Brown - Legacy (Dad and Grandmother) but not a lot of money donation
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
UPenn

Plan on majoring in something science related, possibly engineering. If anyone has any ideas for schools that would be a good fit please suggest them.

Your test scores may hold you back from the Ivies. I’d put those at a reach, Northwestern/JHU/UF (out of state is hard) at a very high match, and the rest at matches. Boston U might even be a safety for you.

Would you mind chancing me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/801305-first-rule-college-confidential-you-dont-talk-about-college-confidential.html</a></p>

If only your writing SAT score was 700+ you would be greatly in the running at the ivies.

Your GPA is definitely too low for the ivies, and top 20% is not good enough when 95% of students at ivies come from at least top 10% of their schools.

Apply to your fav school ED, retake the SAT and if you improve to a 2200+, I think you can be in the running.

chance me back!

NWestern JHU, Cornell, UPenn are reaches
everywhere else is a bretty good bet
if you make the admissions officers remember your essay at the end of the day, you will get into most of those

chance me back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/801012-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Thanks to everyone who replied so far. I kind of figured that my GPA would hurt me at the upper end of the college spectrum.
How much will a 610 writing hurt me. It does not count for as much as the math or CR at most schools right? Also, class rank is a rough rough guesstimate. There are 40 kids in my class.

Other Schools I would like chances on:

UVA (OoS)
Carnegie Mellon
Vanderbilt

Rice as well

bump…
