What senior math do you advise to still remain a competitive applicant for Exploratory Studies without taking Calculus? Already had the minimum 4 math sequence, took Honors Pre-Calc/Trig last year and is not taking Calculus this coming year. Would you take: AP Statistics, Dual Enrollment Statistics, or some other option?
My kid took Discreet Math. AP/DE Stats sounds fine too.
Dual enrollment statistics would be good - especially since it’ll be just one semester. (It’ll be much more intense than AP stats though).
Discrete math: good if you’re interested in CS or logic / philosophy.
AP Stats is a good choice if you want a lighter math class to focus on other hard classes or if math isn’t your thing.
