will i get rejected from college for not having a math my senior year of high school? It is my absolute worst subject, the teacher doesn’t teach, and it is affecting my gpa. I really burned myself out last year with difficult classes and this year i am taking an unrequired science, art, and an additional 7th period opposed to the usual 6. I have no intentions of majoring in anything remotely involved with math, and I also am not trying to get into any difficult schools like UCs.
What is the highest level of math you’ve completed and what grade did you get?
What’s your GPA? Did you have your a-g courses completed at the end of junior year?
the highest level of math i took was trigonometry junior year, finishing with an A in the class. My gpa last year was a 4.0 and my cumulative as of right now is a 3.6. As for finishing A-G, i obviously didn’t finsish them because a 4th year of english and a year of government is required, which i am now doing. i already have 30 more extra credits than i need.
Where are you planning on applying and what is your intended major?
You should be okay since you can take Statistics for you Quantitative requirement in college.
If you’re aiming for UC’s, you’ve completed the minimum, and since you’re taking extra classes which I suppose relate to your future area of studies, you should be good, except for UCB/UCLA/UCSD/the Claremonts, and even there I don’t think you’d automatically be rejected, they’d check the rest of your application.
