senior, no experience

Hi,

I'm a senior, and I have no experience at all in my major. I have no idea what to do. I'm really worried that I won't have a job. I know I can get one, but I want one that requires a college diploma, not a high school one. My resume still looks the same as it did in high school, aside from a couple college clubs. I haven't had a real job since high school either, meaning no references either. I have a 2.99 GPA at the moment, but if I maintain my current grades, I should finish with straight A's. My grades are a bit inconsistent though. I'm a general science major with a lean towards ecology, and math and geography minors. At this point, I don't care what I do as long as I can pay my loan bills, and save for a car.

thanks

Have you visited your university’s career office or spoken to any professors about what to do with your degree? It’s a little late to be only thinking about this now, but it’s never too late.

I hate to say this, but you can always get a teaching certificate.

What are your interests within the sciences? If you’re interested in ecology, there are lots of summer field jobs/paid internships with state and federal land management agencies.

Check out the [Student Conservation Association](http://www.thesca.org) - I’m currently in one of their AmeriCorps internships and it’s leading me to graduate school and a career path.

What have you been doing for four years? You have no experience in ANYTHING? No research? Volunteering? Interning? Anything?? What about summers?

I just find it incredibly hard to believe you did nothing to prepare yourself to get a job after you graduate.
