So there's senior prom coming up at my school, and I am so so so NOT ready for it. I have a date, but not the moves....The last time I went to dance was over a year ago and I hated it so much I told myself I'd never go to a normal school dance again (the ones without a date). But, with a date, I hoped this would be a different story. And I'm willing to practice, but mainly wondering, what should I do?

And yeah...this would be my first formal. Thanks in advance for looking past my awkwardness...

Dancing for school dances takes no skill. Just move around awkwardly and imitate other people, if they are not dancing questionably. You’ll get the hang of it!

Well, I would suggest to find a dance school. If you got a date with a girl you like, and you want to impress her with a technique of slow dancing, GET A LESSON.

By the Way, girls love guys that can dance. So do your best. Oh, and dont step on her toes when dancing, thats embarassing…

what kind of prom is this? I know some high schools actually do some ballroom dancing stuff. LOL, if it’s one of those, good luck. If it’s a “regular” dance where you dirty/freak dance, you just need to be able to move to the beat. Listen and swayyy. It really isn’t hard… just don’t be shy.
