Senior Quotes

I have a quote that lotsss of people know though haha
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” -Dr. Seuss

and my other one…sounds kind of cocky LMAO but it’s not meant to be hahaha I just love it :D

“A word to the wise isn’t necessary. It’s the stupid ones that need the advice.”
-Bill Cosby

The second isn’t necessarily a senior quote I guess LOL
but it sort of is
Something I’ve learned I guess hehe

I don’t think that my current school enables us to post senior quotes. If I could though, I would incorporate one of the following:

“But there is suffering in life, and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. But it’s better to lose some of the battles in the struggles for your dreams than to be defeated without ever knowing what you’re fighting for.” -Oscar Wilde

“The deepest human defeat suffered by human beings is constituted by the difference between what one was capable of becoming and what one has in fact become.” -Ashley Montagu

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” -Thomas Edison

“True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.”
-Kurt Vonnegut

either that or “so it goes” will be mine when i’m a senior

I’m getting “so it goes” as a tattoo as soon as I turn 18. My mother won’t even let me get a nose piercing. :\ I’m not sure if we get senior quotes, but if we do, I’m thinking of popping in some pretentious Latin: “Aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way, or make one)”–Hannibal

i wish i could have picked a new senior quote… i hate the one i put.

I had a 8th grade quote when I graduate from 8th grade :stuck_out_tongue: It doesn’t seem like me, but it has sentimental value that only I would understand. xD

^^ I like that one :D

I prefer “Aut inveniam viam aut faciam” for some reason.

^But that doesn’t follow usual Latin word order and the beauty of the parallel structure is noticeably decreased.

Just for lulz, I would say

Aurum est Potestas.

I love the Artemis Fowl Series for teaching me that.

Only one person did a Latin senior quote this year at my school, and she translated it.

But the other one doesn’t have a CCers name in it. CCers > Parallel structure

Whenever Latin words pop up, I remember the religion lessons I have at school.
Like servus servorum dei, rerum novarum, etc.
Yikes. :D

Carthago delenda est.

Linguam Latinam non loquor :/

Eh, eh, there’s nothing else I can say…

“I assume that the jacket got into your wardrobe by mistake sir, or carefully placed there by your enemies.”

 • Reginald Jeeves

Oh, movie quotes:

“What does Plan B stand for?! Bull*****?!” -Bad Boys 2
