hey guys. i'm a senior and i know its getting late, but i wanted to see if anyone knew anything about seniors retaking their sats in january. does it look bad to colleges? is it even accepted by colleges? let me know what you guys think.

I don't think it would ever look bad to colleges. The real concern is whether the Jan. test date is after the admissions deadline. You should check with your individual colleges to determine if they'll accept it, as it varies.

It won't look bad (as long as you've clearly been busy with other stuff).

The thing I've notice however is that some of my college counselors are saying that colleges will have already looked over our files and probably won't even see/consider the scores. Yet, I just emailed Harvard and they said that they DO accept the January scores. HOWEVER, it was just a copy paste job.

I'm waiting on a personal reply.

well I know that harvard, yale and princeton do accept january SATs.. it makes sense 'cause they start reviewing our application on february
