Senior schedule change.

I had to change from AP Computer Science to Game Design due to lack of interest in AP Computer Science.

Do I need to report this to UMich, considering I was already accepted to CoE? And would that possibly affect their decision (I know one class probably wont make all the difference, but can they reconsider if they judge the change to be major enough?)

just report it just in case. It won’t go against you.

how would I go about that anyways? Just send a letter to the same place I sent my other materials?

Actually, it is advised that you report it.

“Although senior year grades are reported directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and reviewed, it is your responsibility to advise the Office of Undergraduate Admissions of any serious decline in grades or changes in course selections previously entered on your application.”

That said, I would either call the university up, shoot them an email, or write them a letter. This should be reported directly to the office of undergraduate admissions.

It might affect your decision if you were intending to major in Comp. Science in CoE

By the way, I would HIGHLY recommend against that. If you’re disinterested in it now, you’re not going to be any more interested when you have to keep learning the same stuff in Engr101.

lack of interest meaning that the entire state of kentucky couldn’t get 5 people interested in it. I’m still all for it lol, so I’ll have no problems with learning it. Thanks for the info everyone!

Oh then it shouldn’t affect you. It’s not your fault.

Yes, in that situation there’s nothing you could do about it, there’d be no problem.

You may want to let them know that that’s what happened though.

I was also in your situation recently. Definetly let them know or email the school!
I am going into the school of kinesiology, but for my senior year I wanted to switch out of AP Bio and into psychology because I highly doubt I will have a chance to take this class in college, so I wanted to take a “fun” class. Also I wanted to switch out of sports medicine and into art for the same reason. I wanted to contact the university because I was afraid that if they saw I switched my classes, then my acceptance would be revoked.
So I emailed my michigan counselor and he told me that if I switched out of these classes, then they would have to review my application again, which I didn’t want, so I’m sticking with these classes. He said that they classes were for my intended major and they wer more rigorous than the classes I wanted to switch into.
So make sure you email the school!
