Senior schedule helpp

I took italian honors freshman and sophomore year, but i'm not taking it this year because "italian level 4 honors" could not fit into my schedule

should I take this class for senior year? or is it not worth it (my teacher is not the greatest..) I'm worried because I only have 3 years of foreign language whereas 3 is the recommended number...but it might bring my GPA down..

also, does it matter whether i take AP Gov or Honor Civics? Someone told me that Honors Civics would not look as good as AP Gov to colleges..it's a new class that my teacher just got approved this year, where it's more debate and speaking and less academic work than AP Gov (he highly recommends it). Both classes give the option of taking the AP Gov exam in the end..but I'm afraid Honors Civics would not be considered as challenging as AP Gov.

If you can take the AP Gov exam I would assume that Honor Civics would be pretty valuable to colleges.

i agree with PShap91. If you can still take the AP exam with the civics class I would take the civics class, especially if you like to debate.

My "Honors Civics" class was really essentially the same material as AP Government. It is a required sophomore class in my state (North Carolina). It's good to know that there are "Honors Civics" classes out their that are more debate-based. Mine was nothing but stupid worksheets on the branches of government ... :(
