My school enforces a strict try-out-for AP policy, so APs are very in demand. The results of some haven't come out yet, but assuming I made all of the ones I tried for, what do you guys suggest I take?

AP Art History
AP Literature
AP Government and Politics
AP Psychology
AP Macro

I also have the opportunity to drop physics or to drop world language or to drop both. Should I do that?

There are 8 periods in a day, but I have to take math, either science or a language or both, and gym. There is also one random off period we get in order to go out for lunch. I want to take at least 3 APs. My strength is in english. Can you help me organize?

If your strength is English then take World Language. Study hard in school.

I personally am taking 3 in school and 5 self studies

If you don’t like art then I don’t recommend AP Art History. I took it, albeit as a sophomore, and found it incredibly boring with lots of memorization. Gov/Pol and Lit sound good for someone who likes English. Can’t speak for psych and macro.

I personally am an artsy person and I happen to like AP lit a lot, so I’d recommend that. And if I were to pick 2 more, they’d probably be psych and gov, just because those are also my interests.

thank you for your advice! I am definitely going to take Lit, GoPo, and Psych, but Art History is still a maybe. Also: World Language would, of course, be the easier subject to take compared to physics, but do you guys think that is the easy way out? What I’m saying is do you think I would/could be penalized for not taking physics?

I really love AP Macro! Totally suggest it!
