Hi CC'ers!

I need to finalize my senior schedule, however I'm not quite sure if my current plan is too easy or going to drive me crazy. I could really use some insights on the difficulty of the classes I have chosen. Thanks in advance!

Classes:
1. AP Bio
2. AP Gov/Eco
3. AP Lit
4. AP Stats (Would it look bad if I didn't take AP Calc? I've taken three years of non-honors math. I've made solid A's all 3 years but I'm a bit apprehensive about jumping into AP Calc...)
5. AP European History
6. AP Spanish Language (How hard is this course? I'm good at Spanish, I suppose, though my conversational skills could be better.)
7. Not wild about taking a study hall but I can't think of anything else to take, lol. Suggestions?
If I did take a study hall, I would be in a study hall for people in an extra-curricular academic competition, so we would use the time to study and prep together for that competition.

Electives I've already taken: AP Env. Science, AP Art History, AP Psych, AP Human Geo

omg just ENJOY your senior year. and only take those courses if you’re sure you won’t get tired half way. AP spanish depends on the teacher and your level of Spanish. most classes require that you speak ONLY spanish in the class so if you can’t, take college spanish or something. The AP is no joke.

Yeah… I do want to enjoy my senior year. I don’t mind taking so many AP’s because I love the subjects (with the exception of Stats, lol.)

But at the same time, I’m really wanting to push myself so I can possibly make top 10 in the class. I have a 4.5 now and I’ll probably need about a 4.7 to make it.

Your schedule looks great!Dont worry about the study hall

Because you have multiple/all APs, your schedule is not “easy.” However, it is manageable.
From personal experience, I can honestly say that AP Stats is not difficult AT ALL and is rather enjoyable. I would definitely take it instead of AP Calc if math isn’t your strongest subject.

I’ve heard AP Gov’t is very tough, but I guess that sort of depends on the teacher. From experience, I can say AP Bio isn’t too bad, though I’m not sure if that’s everyone’s experience. The other AP’s look to be manageable. I wouldn’t worry about the study hall.

Thanks for the input everyone!

Would I be pushing it to add in AP Comp Sci A in place of study hall?

Just take the classes you have there already. Enjoy senior year.

Honestly, you have a very difficult schedule there, at least by my standards, but its manageable … I think adding AP computer science A, making seven APs, would drive you crazy. Make sure you have time for fun!

I would keep the study hall because you’ll need time for hw and studying and downtime.

I’ve heard that all AP language courses are very difficult.

I would go with AP stat if it’s not your strong suite, or if you feel the need to take calc maybe take an honors level course.

I have your schedule more or less this year and it’s a lot of work

Thank you everyone!

@gnastygnorc- CC has gotten to me… lol
