Senior Schedule - What to do with one empty period?

I am taking 6 APs senior year. Since there are 7 periods in the day, I have one empty period to fill.

Options:

-Late arrival: This would be fantastic, but I don't want to seem lazy. On the other hand, I am always in need of additional sleep during the year.
-Study Hall: May or may not be a productive use of time depending on placement during the day.
-Another class: I could add another class; however, it would need to be something that is enjoyable and not particularly time consuming.

Another elective would bring down my weighted GPA, but I don't know how much that would matter since college applications will be submitted prior to the end of the semester.

I chose the study hall, but I'm rethinking my decision. Advice is appreciated!

late arrival or study hall is best. It’s senior year, don’t need to go all out, but if you enjoy that go for it

Would it make any difference regarding perceived course rigor if I did late arrival versus study hall? I know this sounds silly, but late arrival seems to have a negative connotation…

NO college is going to know or care about your actual schedule .They only care about the classes you are taking and how you do in them.
so sleep in and get great grades!

I say study hall. Late arrival would seem like you’re slacking, in a way.
Study hall, you can catch up on classwork, homework, or relax if you’re all caught up.
Study hall can be your break period or your extra-work period.
You could say the same about late arrival, but to be honest, if we all would do late arrival, we’d use that for more sleep and not work, right? Haha.

If you want to take another class, take something you’d enjoy. It may bring your GPA down, but colleges look at the classes you take. And your GPA isn’t the only thing they look at.

-Id do late arrival. Taking an elective is pointless if it rather hurts you then helps. Since you are already taking 6 Ap’s, I dont think it would be a problem.

Late arrival doesn’t make you look ‘lazy’ in the sense that you go to school late, but by not putting an official study hall there or an elective, that WILL make you look lazy (but 6 AP’s is pretty awesome).

I say study hall or elective if there’s an elective that really gets you excited/you’re really interested in.

Thank you all very much for the advice!

I’d say study hall, my school doesn’t have “study hall” so you’re lucky :)
