I'm scared my senior schedule won't look as competitive as my junior schedule. Next year I definitely have AP Macro, AP Lit, and AP Chem. Plus some classes I need to graduate.

I also want to take three college courses or two college course and AP Physics C (Mag&Elec). I don't know which one would look better. Should I take three college courses and only three APs or should I take two college courses and four APs? Also these college classes will most likely be at Lehigh University.

I also do not have four years of foreign language. Will taking the SAT Spanish test and then the AP Spanish test be enough to prove I'm qualified in Spanish? I really don't want foreign language to take up room in my schedule.

Also will colleges be disappointed with me if my senior schedule isn't as rigorous as my junior schedule? I have five APs right now and will be taking six AP tests. I don't want my senior schedule to look bad compared to my junior schedule

Son’s sr: AP Stat, AP English, AP Physic C (M, E&M), Choir, free period. BTW, he has a free period and choir each year. Got admitted to his first choice, one considered a top college on the cc list. Compare to his classmates, he might be a little lighter but he has perfect GPA and AP scores; rank probably 6 out of 400.

Thanks for replying! I don’t know if that would work for me because my GPA isn’t perfect and I don’t rank in the top 10. I rank in the top 5% but my class has about 650 kids. I need a more rigorous schedule. I just need to know how rigorous my schedule should be.

If I remember correctly from the recommendation form I saw, it groups like top 5%, top 10% etc. I would say your schedule is rigorous, or at least more rigorous than either of my kids. There are more than just GPA and standardized test scores in college admission, as you know. Your essays, recommendations, extracurricular all play a part. Good luck!
