Senior schedule

These are the classes I am planning to take:

IB English HL
IB History HL
IB Biology HL
IB Spanish SL
AP Psychology
String Orchestra
IB Theory of Knowledge
Cross country
Multi-variable Calculus (online)

Would it be okay to drop AP Psych? The last 3 classes in this list are only 1st semester, so I'm afraid that colleges won't accept me because I'll only have 5 classes 2nd semester of senior year. (I'm looking into top colleges like Stanford, UC Berkeley, Northwestern...for environmental science)
I am interested in psychology (though not as a major) and I think it will be a fun class but it would be nice to have a free period too.

Sure, AP Psych is just an elective and not that important in the scheme of things. Just take it if you really want to. I’ve never heard of a college that has said 5 classes are too little. They will only have your transcripts for 1st semester of Sr year for admissions decisions anyway, so it is a moot point. But cross country as a class won’t be counted anyway.

ap psych is very interesting, and you should try it out if you feel like you can handle the course load with the other classes, but if it’s AP credit you’re looking for, I think it’s possible to self study it. Plus the IB classes you’ve listed are going to require a lot of work and effort.
