Is this too much for a senior schedule? My GPA is 3.1. I have an upward trend in my grades so I may need this. My ACT score is 22 but I’m looking to retake it. I’ve played football (1 year), soccer and track (2 years). I’ve also been in the school play. The schools I’m looking at in this order are: UT Austin, Arizona State, Indiana U, Ohio State, and Michigan State. What are my chances?

P.S. I can substitute my study hall, each semester, for 2 bus. classes but I have work and sports. Will it still be ok to leave my study hall or will it hurt me? I am of Spanish/Asian ethnicity.

P.P.S. It felt good to get this off my chest. Can someone let me know what my chances are please… My GC is only familiar with schools in Illinois (where I reside)

What do you want to major in? My schedule is: AP Euro, AP Eng Lit, Hon. Physics, AP Calc, Religion, Econ/Psych, and maybe a Study Hall. This is with sports as well and I dont find it extremely difficult, so you should be fine. I;m not too familiar with those schools, therefore I cannot say. I believe UT-Austin for engineering is quite competetive, but once again take my word

Surprisingly enough, my school only offers about 5 AP's in which I have taken them all. I dont know much about business schools, except the Carlson school at the U of M-TC. I hear thats a very hard school to get into. So if you could raise your ACT about 6 points(which isn't impossible; hopefully I can do that) you may have a chance there with some good recs and essays.

For the big 10 schools you listed, you will definitely need a higher ACT score. Have you looked at ISU? They provide a bigger college feel with less rigorous admission standards.

Last year I took AP eng lang, ap ush, ap calc BC, and ap chem along with varsity basketball, math and science bowl (captain), and many other things. so you should be fine w/ that schedule.

Level of difficulty really depends on your school...

I'm taking Bible as Literature, Vocal Ensemble (assuming I make it it's an audition only choir), Government/Economics International Negotiations, Introduction to Philosophy & Ethics, Teacher's Aide and Concert Choir. That's about average for my school Senior Year, give or take a couple classes.

I could've taken 2 classes and I would have met our Graduation Requirements, but that's only because I've taken a full schedule (7/8 classes depending on that year's bell schedule) every other year.
