Senior Scheduling Advice

This year (my senior year) I wanted to pack in my schedule with tons of AP and honors classes, but the schedulers really sucked this year so I have:

Jazz Band (1)
People and Politics (.5, required)
AP Econ (1)
Statistics (1)
Acc. Physics (1)
Symphonic Band (1)
and then 1.5 credits worth of study hall

I want to check if another school is offering any good classes during my study halls, but if they aren't I'm not sure what I should do. Should I take lame classes like Gourmet Foods or should I just keep the study hall/release?

If I were you i would switch schools. Only 1 AP senior yr?

Doesn't your school offer any other AP class? The study hall thing seems a little ridiculous...
Your schedule just feels a bit "fluffy."
I would not take a home ec class; frankly, that doesn’t look that much better than study hall.

Our school offers:
AP Calculus (took last year)
AP Language and Composition (took last year)
AP US History (took last year)
AP Lit. and Composition (can't take because I have to take FAME, which is an arts class that also includes Humanities)
AP Euro (conflicts with Acc. Physics and Statistics)

You might want to explain the situation on your application, or get someone to do it for you. I wouldn't switch schools though, that sounds a bit extreme..

Maybe you could take courses at a local university?

yeah, take dual enrollment classes and use the study hall time to prepare for it. It's not an easy class.
